HOW SOLAR POWERED LANTERN WORK
During the day, the solar panel converts sunlight into electricity and recharges the battery. At night, the light turns on automatically using the electricity stored during the day. The number of hours the light stays on depends on your geographical location, weather conditions, and seasonal sunlight availability. Place the solar light fixture in an area where it can receive direct sunlight for at least 8 hours each day. Shadowed locations will not allow the battery/ batteries to charge fully and will reduce the hours of nighttime lighting. The selected location should not be near nighttime light sources, such as porch lights, street lights, or pool lights, as these may cause the solar light to turn off prematurely. Position to receive the maximum amount of sunlight.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your solar-charged light does not come on at dusk despite observance of all the instructions, please try the following steps:
1. Make sure that the solar light is not being affected by any other light source.
2. Ensure the solar light is not positioned in the shade during the day.
3. Ensure the Solar Light is getting enough direct sunlight during daylight.
4. Make sure the switch in the light is in the ON position.
Note: The performance of the solar light will vary with the time of year. It will deliver more light when it has had a full day in the sun rather than a day in overcast weather.
Wintertime Tips: For optimal performance, be sure to remove any snow or debris accumulation from solar panel(s). A solar panel free of debris will charge the batteries much more efficiently.
