Do these have a sensor on them to automatically come on in dark?
These lights have NO timer/photocell included. If you want to control when they come on, then you will need to add a timing device.
Can the wall plug be outside?
The adapter that is near the plug is not waterproof. For safety reasons, you can use an outside weatherproof box outlet.
If one landscape light goes out, will the rest stay lit?
Yes, these light strands are connected in parallel, so one path light defected won't affect the rest path light.
