JCs Wildlife Seed Cylinders are simple to use!
JCs Wildlife Seed Cylinder FeederBird lovers use seed cylinders for many reasons, but sheer ease of use is certainly a big factor. A simple steel rod with a base and perch ring. Then a loop on top for easy hanging and an accessory hook underneath. Our seed cylinders have a 1/2-inch hole in the middle that runs from top to bottom. Simply remove the cylinder from the package, slide it onto the feeder and you're good to go! The extra hook on the bottom can be used to hang a suet cage or just about any other small bird feeder. | JCs Wildlife Seed Cylinder Feeder with Poly Weather CoverWant to protect your cylinder from the elements? Try adding a JCs Wildlife Weather Cover. Our covers come in 2 sizes - medium (12"X10"X3") and large (12"X12"X3") and a variety of colors. The seeds in the cylinder are "glued" together with gelatin. They hold up very well for a lengthy amount of time while being out in the elements. But if you want to keep the cylinder dry or your birds out of the rain while they dine, adding this Poly Weather Cover is a great choice. | JCs Wildlife Seed Cylinder Feeder with Metal Rain GuardYet another option for keeping your seed cylinder and dining birds dry is adding our Metal Rain Guard. The Rain Guard comes in red and green with a nice looking scalloped design. There are 3 sizes available - 9.5", 16" and 22.5". This durable guard features a sturdy hook from which to hang your feeder. It is also treated with a protective powder-coat paint to ensure the colors don't fade in the elements. It will look great in your backyard! |
Seed Cylinder offerings will attract a wide variety of birds to your yard! Here are just a few.
Northern CardinalNorthern Cardinals enjoy many different types of seeds and nuts. They will readily come to a cylinder which contains black oil sunflower, sunflower chips, peanuts, safflower and more. They will eat fruit too - like raisins and cranberries. | Downy WoodpeckerThe Downy Woodpecker is likely the most frequent visitor to any seed cylinder feeder. While this bird will eat a varied assortment of seeds and nuts, peanuts are a big favorite. As you can see from our comparison chart, all JCs Wildlife cylinders contain peanuts! | Rose-breasted GrosbeakThe Rose-Breasted Grosbeak is a migratory bird in North America. They spend their summers in Canada and the northern US states, from Maine to North Dakota. They are a delight to have at your feeder and will readily eat safflower and black oil sunflower. | Red-bellied WoodpeckerThe Red-bellied Woodpecker, much like it's little cousin the Downy, enjoys peanuts as much as a kid at a baseball game! Several of our cylinder options also contain "diced tree nuts" in addition to peanuts. The Woodpecker Blend would be perfect for Mr. Red-Belly! |

Unique to our Bugs, Nuts and Berries Cylinder - dried mealworms. "Yum-yum", say your backyard birds! Don't worry, the worms are dead and dried. Most bird species native to the US eat bugs and feed their young a consistent diet of insects. Bluebirds especially, while not necessarily a "feeder bird", may come to this seed cylinder to dine on some delicious mealworms. Changing your cylinder varieties up from time to time may allow you to see different species. Or find a favorite and stick with it - the choice is yours!
2 different sizes, 5 different varieties!
Our large Woodpecker Blend Seed Cylinder comes in at a whopping 5lbs and measures 7.5" tall X 6" wide. Both the large and small cylinders fit nicely on the JCs Wildlife Cylinder Feeder. Hungry woodpeckers will enjoy this large cylinder for weeks. An advantage of using a large cylinder is that once you place it in your feeder, you shouldn't have to worry about replacing it for quite some time. Going on vacation and want to keep you birds happy while you're away? Try one of our large cylinders!
