Keiryu fishing is a traditional Japanese style of mountain stream fishing and is the most popular form of fly fishing in Japan (much more popular than Tenkara). While similar to Tenkara, Keiryu rods are fast action rods (flexible tips with stiffer bodies) and are typically several feet longer.

All KRC Keiryu rods were designed from the ground up with input from American anglers and Fly Guides. All our rods excel at using nymphs or weighted presentations (artificials/bait) to catch trout in deeper holes, pocket water, faster currents, or bigger water. Keiryu's rod actions and length also make them great for bringing in bigger fish.
JAPANESE CARBON - MEDIUM ACTION.
We made the T100 using several types of high quality IM Japanese carbon. The result is a medium action, stiffness, and flex rod that is robust and yet pleasant to fish with. The T100 has the SENSITIVITY to feel the take and the BACKBONE to set the hook.
