Organizing SCON XTB106 Dimmable Recessed Magnetic Track Lighting System

Tips

To design SCON XTB106 dimmable recessed magnetic track lighting system, these components MUST be have:

Driver. INPUT: 110V AC. OUTPUT: 48V DC.
Track ＆ Rail-with cable.
Track ＆ Rail-no cable (if you need more than 100cm/39.37inch track ＆ rail).
Track lighting heads (with built-in dimmable driver).

This system can be supplied to dining room, living Room, hallway, office, etc. For the complexity of dimmable system's installation, please read the instructions carefully and install it with the support of a professional lighting installation electrician.
Search "SCON XTB106" to choose your components. XTB106 track is only compatible with XTB106 track lighting heads; vice versa.

XTB106 system has 3 dimming methods to select: 0-10V, DALI only dimming, DALI adjustable brightness and CCT.
XTB106 track & corner joint and 48V DC output driver are both applicable to all three dimming methods.
Different dimming lamp head can not be mixed together, unless your dimming system supports the mix.

Note	You must have at least one power driver which outputing 48V DC. The total carrying power of the driver cannot exceed 80% of its rated power.	To link the track with the power driver, you must have at least one track (with cable).	Tracks can be easily connected to each other, but one driver can power up to 12 meters of total track length, otherwise a separate combination of driver and tracks needs to be created. Built-in Dimmable Driver

ADVANCED VISION AND FEEL. Anodised aluminium is the main material.
GRAPHENE ELEMENT. The conductive strip in the track has added graphene element for better conductivity and more durable use.

Sketchy Steps of Installation

Step 1

Make a slot with 50mm wide and 60mm deep for placing and securing the track.
Cut off the power.
Connect the rails with connectors, and then fasten them to the main runner.
Connect the driver, dimming switch (and bus power supply, if DALI) and the tracks.

Step 2

Power on.
Test if the track is working by track lighting heads. This step is very IMPORTANT, otherwise the gypsum board needs to be disassembled for inspecting and replacing tracks later.

Step 3

Covering of both sides of the tracks.

Step 4

Install your favorite light heads.
A beautiful magnetic track light system appears.

Choosing Correct Dimming Method

NOTICE

Due to the complexity of the dimming system, please install and use it with the support of a PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICIAN.
Both track and driver are suitable for 0-10V and DALI dimming methods. But the lamp heads of 0-10V, DALI-1 and DALI-2 are different (because the types of built-in driver are different: 0-10V built-in drivers; DALI-1 built-in drivers; DALI-2 built-in drivers).
SCON XTB106 system doesn't include dimming switch and bus power supply , but it's compatible with most types of dimming switchand bus power supply.

0-10V
1. 10 V is the brightest, and 0 V is turned off. Almost all products from OKT Lighting support 0-10V dimming. 1-10V does not have a switch function, and could not adjust the fixtures to the lowest closing effect.
DALI
1. Advantages
  1. DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is an internationally-recognized lighting control communication protocol.
  2. Digital dimming, dimming accurate, stable and smooth. DALI control is more flexible and has strong anti-jamming ability.
  3. DALI can communicate with each other in both directions, and can feedback the lamp status to the system control interface. So it supports the dimming of a single lamp or a group of areas.
2. Two types of DALI
  1. DALI-1 - Only dimming.
  2. DALI-2 - Dimming and adjusting CCT (2700K-5700K).
